The bar manager had a new payphone installed and it proved quite useful, especially as it meant he didn’t have to ring taxis for his customers anymore.
All went well for a while then the thing packed in, wouldn’t call out any more. He phoned the phone company (using his own phone of course)
He was a bit peeved at the phone company’s response. Oh, we can get someone out in a week, they said, citing major problems with networks needing assistance first.
Did I say peeved? He was furious, so he hit on a plan.
He phoned the company two hours later up and told them there was no need to rush, he was just informing them that the payphone was working now, with just one problem, it returned the caller’s coins on completion of the call.
An engineer was out within the hour!
